Myoglobin Assay Kit

The Myoglobin Assay Kit is a clinical laboratory test that is used to measure the amount of myoglobin present in human serum. The assay is useful for auxiliary diagnosis of diseases such as acute myocardial infarction and myocardial ischemia. In the early stages of a myocardial infarction, myoglobin levels may increase as quickly as 1.5 hours after the onset of symptoms. They will usually return to normal within one to two days.
ELISA
The BioVision Myoglobin ELISA kit is designed to detect levels of human Myoglobin in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This sandwich ELISA assay is sensitive to 270 pg/ml of Myoglobin. This kit is available in 96 and 384-well formats and allows for accurate results in a short period of time.

The 96-well plate is coated with anti-Myoglobin antibodies, which bind to Myoglobin in the sample and standard. The HRP conjugate then binds to the antibody-Myoglobin complex. After the binding of the antibodies, the TMB substrate is added to remove unbound material. Then, the TMB substrate is reacted with the HRP to produce a blue color. Finally, the Stop Solution is added to stop the color development. The color change is measured at 450 nm and is proportional to the level of Myoglobin in the sample.
The sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay is a sandwich ELISA technique that uses an antibody pre-coated micro-ELISA plate. Next, samples and standards are added to the micro-plate. Then, a biotin-conjugated detection antibody and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase conjugate are added to each well. Once the plate has reagents for measuring Myo, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction.
Myoglobin is a heme protein that is found in skeletal and cardiac muscle. Myoglobin is one of the first cardiac biomarkers to increase in the blood after a heart attack or other traumatic injury. It reaches its peak level about eight to twelve hours after the injury and decreases to its baseline level within 24 to 36 hours. This is why myoglobin testing is useful for determining whether a heart attack is the cause of an acute incident.
cTnI/CK-MB/Myo
Cardiac Troponin I/CK-MB/Myo    is a kit used for quantitative cardiac troponin I, myoglobin, and cardiac kinase MB enzyme screening. The test can help in the initial diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction, or AMI. The kit contains colloidal gold labeled antibodies that detect cardiac troponin l in the serum.
The creatine troponin I (cTnI) complex is a complex of three proteins found in cardiac muscle. They regulate the interaction between myosin and actin and are found in low levels in healthy individuals. When these three proteins are measured simultaneously, the test will indicate whether they are present in high concentrations in the blood.
Myoglobin is a blood protein that binds oxygen and transports it through muscle cells. When muscle cells are damaged, Myoglobin is released into the bloodstream rapidly. Because of its small size, Myoglobin levels in the blood increase within two to four hours post-infarct and return to normal levels after two to three days.
The NPV of troponin I and CK-MBmass were calculated and plotted against time after onset of symptoms. The lower the NPV, the greater the probability of a patient not having AMI. Similarly, the higher the NPV, the higher the likelihood of a patient having AMI.
cTnI/Myo/CK-MB/Myo
The cTnI/Myo/K-MB/Myoglobin Assay kit is a quantitative immunochromatographic assay that is intended to measure cardiac myoglobin and cTnI in serum, plasma, and whole blood. The assay is used in clinical diagnosis, prognosis, and the evaluation of myocardial injury.
Myo is a small monomeric protein that serves as an intracellular oxygen storage site in muscle. It is released into the blood circulation when a myocardial cell is mildly injured. The American College of Cardiology Committee has endorsed the use of myoglobin as a sensitive marker of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), which is an early warning sign of cardiac failure.
The cTnI/Myo/K-MB/Myoglobin Assay kit contains a MICT cartridge and an MIR apparatus. Each marker is detected using a separate, patented magnetic nanobead strip. The assay is highly sensitive and has a low background signal. It takes approximately 15 min to complete the analysis.
The test strip used in this assay kit includes cTnI, Myo, and CK-MB antibodies. Each strip has a gold mark pad, three detection lines, and an adsorbent pad. The test strip is inserted into a nitrocellulose filter and dried under a quilting process at a relative humidity of 20 to 30 percent.
The BCA protein assay kit is produced by the Beyotime Institute of Biotechnology in Shanghai, China. The company sells bovine serum albumin, CK-MB, and myoglobin. For more information, visit their website:
The H-FABP kit has been tested for cross-reactivity with common markers of acute heart failure (AMI). The kit showed good specificity and low cross-reactivity with common markers o
