Usage
This kit is used to quantitatively detect the content of neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) in human serum or urine in vitro.
Background of Clinical Indications
NGAL is an early marker of renal impairment. Increased NGAL in serum or urine is commonly seen in patients with ischemic and viral kidney injury, cardiovascular, pus or hemorrhagic shock, renal transplantation, reactions to intravenous X-ray contrast agents and nephrotoxic treatments.
