Usage
This reagent is used to quantitatively detect the content of adiponectin in human serum.

 

Background of Clinical Indications

The level of adiponectin detection can screen high-risk populations in the pre-diabetes stage 4-7 years in advance. This stage is the reversible stage of the natural course of diabetes, which can effectively prevent and control the occurrence of diabetes and realize the primary prevention of type 2 diabetes. Individuals with low adiponectin levels are 9.32 times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes than those with high adiponectin levels. Individuals with low adiponectin levels in late pregnancy are 10 times more likely to develop gestational diabetes than those with high adiponectin levels. Adiponectin is an independent indicator of type 2 diabetes risk prediction in addition to age, blood pressure, blood lipids, and smoking. Adiponectin can reflect insulin resistance, help clinicians in typing diagnosis, and also provide guidance on the application of insulin. Adiponectin can dynamically monitor the control of type 2 diabetes and predict the risk of diabetes complications. Adiponectin also exerts multiple beneficial effects in the body, which can reduce inflammation in the body and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and tumor risk.
