Innovative Research Retinol Binding Protein Assay Kit

The Retinol Binding Protein (RBP) Assay Kit from Innovative Research is based on ELISA technology and is highly sensitive. The kit measures the amount of RBP in biological samples. It uses a strip-well format and contains reagents for 96 tests. It is suitable for use with serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. This kit is easy to use and offers a high degree of reproducibility.
The sandwich enzyme immunoassay kit measures RBP4 in samples. The sandwich enzyme immunoassay diluent contains recombinant RBP or a natural protein. The expression system may be yeast, E.coli, or mammal cells. The wash and stop solutions are TBS and sulfuric acid, respectively. The standard diluent includes BSA or sodium azide.
The Retinol Binding Protein assay kit consists of a 96-well plate with a recombinant protein specific for RBP. The protein is biotinylated and precoated. This is followed by washing with wash buffer. Next, the Streptavidin-Peroxidase Complex (SPX) is added to the wells. Unbound conjugates are removed with wash buffer. The enzymatic reaction of the Streptavidin-Peroxidase is visualized by a blue color product. The TMB coloration becomes yellow when it comes in contact with an acidic stop solution.
The Retinol Binding Protein assay kit comes with comprehensive instructions for use. Depending on the sample, you can also perform an assay by combining the two reagents. The test results are available immediately or can be stored in a cold place for several days. A minimum of 200 tests is needed for the procedure. Once you have completed all the steps of the assay, you can proceed to the next step.
The Retinol Binding Protein (RBP) is a highly sensitive index that is capable of reflecting the nutritional status of the body. RBP is primarily synthesized in the liver. In cases where there is liver disease, serum RBP concentration decreases. However, RBP is not affected by blood pressure or pH levels. Its concentration is sensitive enough to detect RBP in the urine.
Upon receiving the Retinol Binding Protein (RBP) Assay Kit, store the remaining contents in a cool place. The Detection Reagent A and B should be stored at -20 degC until they are used. Afterwards, the unused wells should be placed back in a desiccant-lined pouch. This should be securely closed.
In addition to RBP, this assay measures other molecules that are produced by the retinoid. Retinol-Binding Protein Assay Kit also measures C-reactive protein (CRP) and MALT lymphoma. The sandwich ELISA method is an easy and robust system to measure angiogenesis in vitro. The ECM gel matrix mimics the in-vivo environment.
